On June 16 and 17, 2026, Fraunhofer IWU will become a hub for innovation, lightweight design, and pultrusion. At the sixth event in this series, experience pioneering developments and celebrate a decade of pultrusion at IWU with us.

For component designers and technology specialists, a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in manufacturing technologies is essential. Only by having extensive knowledge of potential manufacturing technologies can they develop components suitable for production and manufacture them cost-effectively and efficiently, including locally in Germany and Europe. As part of the Technical Forum on Tube, Profile, and Hydroforming Technologies—jointly organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology and the Professorship of Forming Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology—the latest developments from industry and research in the fields of tube and profile manufacturing and further processing, as well as the hydroforming of tubes and profiles, will be presented, discussed, and demonstrated live in our test facilities.  

From 24-25 November 2026, CIRMA 2026 brings together leading researchers, automotive OEMs, suppliers, start-ups, and sustainability experts to accelerate the transition toward circular materials and mobility systems. The conference bridges academic innovation with industrial implementation by fostering collaboration across the full automotive value chain.
