Automated quality assurance is becoming increasingly important in production. However, the implementation of algorithms for the analysis of sensor data and the determination of quality-relevant characteristics that are suitable for automatic evaluation often require an immense amount of time. Our software solution package Xeidana® proves that this can be done differently.
What solution do we have for you?
Computer scientists and testing technology experts from the Fraunhofer IWU have developed the platform concept of the software, which can combine a variety of testing and measuring tasks in one system and evaluate them automatically. The basis for this are the wide varieties of sensors with high resolution check e.g. lengths, diameters or volumes. It is also possible to check whether assemblies are complete, whether there are surface defects or even internal defects. These processes generate large amounts of data. Xeidana® was developed specifically for these requirements. The software captures and analyses, for example, infrared images and optical live videos together with information from ultrasonic systems. The data can be evaluated live as well as archived for later analysis and post-processing. Xeidana® enables the automation of quality monitoring processes and the implementation of quality control loops.
Another feature of Xeidana® is the expandable programme framework. This enables users to independently add powerful extensions to the software. This enables access to a multitude of hardware components whose measurement results can be made available to the quality inspector on a mobile tablet or by means of data glasses. Defects can also be detected faster and a detection rate of 100 per cent.
