We would like to cordially invite you to the International Chemnitz Manufacturing Colloquium ICMC 2012 which will be combined with the 2nd International Colloquium of the Cluster of Excellence "eniPROD" on April 17 – 18, 2012 in Chemnitz, Germany. The Cluster of Excellence "eniPROD" is a consortium of complementary excellence groups concentrating on energy-efficient product and process innovations in production engineering.

The colloquium takes place under the heading "Resource-Efficient Powertrain Technologies" and focuses on powertrain products and processes which decisively determine the efficiency and the environmental impact of mobility. Embedded in the long-term vision "E³ – energy-autonomous, emission-free and ergonomic factory", six main topics will deal with resource-efficient manufacturing and design of powertrain components for the automobile, aircraft and railway industry.

Our international colloquium will combine both, the presentation of fundamental research results as well as their industrial application. It will also be a platform for exchanging information and experience for users and developers as well as for researchers.

We are very pleased that the ICMC 2012 is again being organized in collaboration with CIRP (International Academy for Production Engineering).
